Well, this last weekend was the Father/Son's campout....hmmm....need I say any more? It's always fun to watch them get packed up and ready to go (the communication and equal partnership in packing is sometimes lacking).....and then to have them come home all stinky and dirty (just from 1 night!!)....and then to discover what adventures that happened over night. Here's some pics.

Nathan takes after his dad's way of camp food....no dutch ovens here! Oh, the other boy is Nathan's friend...his dad couldn't come so Bob and Nate adopted him for a night :)
The next day, the group was suppose to do some service by picking up garbage on the beach. Things started off great....look how nice they look with their garbage bags and gloves....but wait!!!
Ohhh...the temptation....it was just too great! How can you pick up the beach without taking the plunge. The water was freezing....no southern california up here!
And this is how they came home to me as. Couldn't be any happier!!

Love it! However can boys manage to get so dirty so quickly? I guess I'll never understand but I sure think its precious!
I so miss the ocean!!!! I know how cold that water is...they are braver than me.
How sweet of you guys to take a boy whose dad couldn't go. I bet that was a huge deal to him.

I heard about this Father/Son campout and how everyone got all wet - and one child burried his shoe somewhere in the sand. I'm sure that was fun to look for. I am all for the "all boys" time in situations like this. Great pics!! Did you and Amanda have a fun gals night?

Your blast from the past is so funny. At firs I thought maybe Bob was faking it. So he could cuddle on your shoulder...but, it really does look like he is out! You are such a party animal. What a fun Father & Sons. Why doesn't Bob do dutch oven? I'm curious, because I think it is too much work...plus a lot of mess.
I love your blast from the past you always share! I think they are not only cute - but so fun to remember! Looks like Nathan had fun in the Ocean. I'm so jealous you get all those beautiful waves to swim in - Utah does not see the Ocean, I miss it!
