Bob's cousin, Jenna, visited us!!! The visit was perfect timing. With all the hectic and emotional events happening lately, it was so nice to put it all on the back burner and relax....talking, laughing, and driving around to see the sights of Oregon. We can't see Derrick until his case worker has visited with him and told him about the adoption and he's been allowed some time to think and talk about it. Soooo....here we sit on pins and needles....anxious to squeeze our little guy. I needed a break!! Funny how this visit was planned months ago....then we thought....oh no....terrible timing....but then....it's just EXACTLY PERFECT timing!!! It always amazes me how simple little mercies flow from heaven. I seriously LOVED the quick day visit. And, looking on her blog....her hubby has done a dang good job holding things together....even while being sick!! Way to go Robert!!
Toured the Intel Museum....all 1's and 0's
Drove out to the Columbia Gorge (East of Portland)
Drove out to the Coast (West of Portland)
Absolutely gorgeous and PEACEFUL!!

Beautiful sunset! Kinda reminds me of a jack-o-latern!
So glad you had a great time with Jenna. It has been a long time since we have seen her. Her Dad, Terry, is our Dentist.

Wonderful pictures! Can't wait till our Oregon Reunion! It looks so beautiful there!
Nice to know that your family is holding up well under all the craziness and emotions. What a wonderful diversion!
Hey guys,
I am so happy for you and your new "bundle of joy" I was so jealous of Jenna's trip to Oregon. That's ok, I love to live vicariously through her. She is the most amazing woman. I am new to blogging and I enjoyed seeing your family. You look great!
I love that last picture. So beautiful. The mercies from heaven are what keep us smiling. I have to admit though my excitement is on overdrive wanting to see pictures of your cute family + one.

oh Julie, it's breathtaking...i need to make a trip out there...
I'm so thrilled the adoption has worked out. It seems meant to be!
Its something I'm considering in the back of my head. I'll chat more if I get more serious about it. - Meaning if a baby doesn't fall from heaven in my lap by some circumstance (through another mom- not me. I'm not pregnant... don't want rumors to get started that way!)
I'm glad Nathan was able to capture that beautiful sunset picture before the van ran out of gas. Nothing like cutting it close. What a fun, fun trip. I sure appreciate your kindness and hospitality. I have so many great pictures that I'll have to create a short slideshow on my blog, to show them all. How many pictures do you see of someone getting a drink from a natural spring in the pitch dark on the side of a highway, or an upclose picture of the inside of the Oscar Meyer Weiner-mobile? Gotta share those. Thanks so much you guys. Love you lots, Jenna
