Last year my darling cousin posted on her blog a little experience she had while driving down the road. To make the story short....a car with a couple of cute and young guys pulled up to the side of her and basically commented on how beautiful she was.
Well...now....here's MY beauty story..(seems to go right in line with the way my life goes)
Yesterday I was standing in line at the grocery store and Derrick was unloading the cart. A lady commented on what a good helper he was. I agreed and then she said, "Is he your grandson?" Did you get that.....MY GRANDSON?!?!? What the @*#%^*!
I politely told her, that he was my son. But, the entire way home I kept looking in the rearview mirror at my wrinkled eyes. Sigh, Sigh....It was a sad day. But still...even though I'm getting older...that lady was just a total dork. At least that's what I'm telling myself...better to be old looking than a dork! Ha!

I am personally waiting for that day to happen to me very soon.
That's absurd!! You in no way look like you could be Derrick's grandma! That lady needs glasses badly! You don't look a day over..... (how old are you?) j/k over 29!
Love that pic! Too funny!!
OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is CRAZY JULIE!!!!!!!! Seriously.....she is very mistaken my friend! There is NO WAY ever that I would think that.....
Now......next time we are together, remind me to tell you the lovely story of how our dry cleaner asked Rick if his mom dropped off his dry cleaning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously I was so TICKED OFF I wouldn't go in there for like a month! hahaha!!!!
Julie, I love your new portrait! It captures the real "you" so well! Haha, just kidding. Your hats aren't that big. No really, I'll join the chorus chanting, "You don't look old!"
What???? I agree with you! No way do you look like a GRANDMA!!! and let's hope you are not for another 10 years or so! Julie - I feel terrible someone said that to you! I agree - what the ?!?!?!?!?!
I am speechless.
There is nothing Grandma about you!
That's the same kind of person who asks when your baby is due or if you are having twins or what your little boys name is with the pink blanket and the huge bow. However, if you are really worried, I could send you some eye cream. (Ha! Ha!)
Crazy story...the woman is looney!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that picture!!! I hope I look that awesome when I'm old (MUCH older, that is).
Social grace eludes some people -- too bad you had to run into one of them. "Granny-ish" is one thing you are most certainly NOT!
Sad! A one time thing- a total outlier. No worries.
On the other hand, I get asked every couple months if I'm my sister's mother- that's getting old!
Ok, she must have forgotten to wear her glasses that day because YOU SO DON'T LOOK THAT OLD! What was she thinking??? :)
