It's over...the fun...it's just over
Yesterday Nathan came home from school and dropped on the couch with tears in his eyes. I asked him what was wrong and he said, "Ohh...it's over." My mind started racing....what was he talking about.....did he have a girlfriend all this time I didn't know about??? So, I asked, "What's over?" He said, "The fun....it's just over" He then sadly told me how he had almost started to cry several times throughout the day because Christmas break was over. Poor guy had so much fun over the Christmas holiday with his dad, playing with friends and just hanging out.....now nothing is good.....just back to school, homework and piano. You know, I feel the same way!!! But, life is still fun....just have to find/make it. He was up this morning revin' to go. I just love my little sensitive home-boy :)

I agree! Paul went back to school yesterday, I was so sad. The day seemed to drag on. And now what? Valentines Day...that doesn't even compare.
I love the story, it is so cute. I can picture Nate sitting on the couch all teary eyed.
It is over! Life as we know it is over! I think we should all go in our backyards and eat a worm! But if we can't find a worm, then maybe we can start a new celebration... of the mundane! Yes, lets spin around and attempt a somersault and sing an 80's song using our thumb as a microphone... and pronounce a toast with our bottled water... do you think we could get our kids to join us or will they just think we're weird again?? I hope Nathan feels excited again soon... poor guy.
My boys were the same way.
You are such a great mom Julie! My kids couldn't wait to get back. As I slowly came out of my depression from them going back to school I soon could see what was in it for me.... I cleaned my house.. It stayed clean! I got to NAP!! Yes, you heard me NAP!! Then I realized you need to just look for the good in life:)
January is always the most depressing month of the year for me! So...I can totally relate to Nate! After the holidays...there's just not much to look forward to...and winter can be really dreary!
Nate, I totally hear you! Duke Ordyna
