I guess the title Winter Soccer really means "Winter" Soccer!

Well....this is how we spent our Saturday (two games) ..... anyone jealous?? Amanda wanted to do winter soccer. And, we bought into the idea thinking it would be a great experience and training for her. Well.....I guess this is why they call it "winter" soccer. Every time we'd look at each other sitting there watching the game, we'd just start laughing. If Amanda ever complains that she doesn't have a supportive family....well....we'll have to come up with something tragic.

There's Amanda team....can you even SEE the field?

Just a little action shot....I can't believe the player coming up from behind is playing in just shorts and short sleeves!! Where's her mother??

I look like I'm crying in this picture.....I think I really wanted to be! About 15 minutes into the game, Nathan asked, "Hey Dad, what are the signs of frost bite again?" Ha! The other joy was me sitting there with what felt like 20 layers of clothing on. I couldn't even MOVE! I had a long sleeve shirt, a sweater, a sweatshirt over that and then a raincoat over that. I was so "puffed" out.....yes, more than I usually am :)

Goodness... I got cold enough going to the last few games in the REGULAR soccer season! So, next year are you going to encourage a little indoor soccer instead? :)

I remember sitting at one of Jami's soccer games in the COLD RAIN - and it was the sopping shower rain. The kind of rain that drenches you to your bones in like 5 seconds. I watched the girls playing in the mudd and rain (slipping and sliding as it was) as I huddled under an umbrella and froze and I thought "This is real parenthood... I don't think I've experienced true parenthood until just now." That was an amazing event much like Amanda's Winter Soccer sounds! How else could we ever have such an experience? Ain't parenthood great!!?? I love your pics!!

There are new "sleeping bag" pullovers that I have seen in sports stores. They are awesome, they keep you warm and they are a pancho. Hopefully, they sell them in Oregon. :0) Don't you love winter sports!

Are there awards for you all sitting in the cold and snow?
Better souls than I.I am SOOOOO thrilled it does not snow here in Southern CA.

Bravo to the spectators...the player are running around so they don't get any symphony...hee hee! I love how you enjoy ALL of your children's activities. I just can't say enough good things about the Tomlinson family.
