Back to School (Final Group)

I like the 1st day of school shots of kids....so....each year I take them!! Let's see, I haven't missed a year for 14 years now (including preschool and kindergarten in there). Why then are the kids shocked each year when I say, "Okay....hurry up so I can take your picture". I get, "What!?!?....Are you serious?!?!?!...Why!?!?!....This is so stupid!!! I don't understand this.....I guess I was nieve in thinking that kids outgrew this. This year I was sooo close to popping Nathan in the head to see if I could jump start his brain. I try and try to get ONE nice shot and this is what I get from my "too cool for pictures" son. What's up with the "yo dude" eyes half closed?

And AGAIN

And AGAIN

Okay, I finally get him off guard as he's walking away.

Here's some pics of the "upper classman".....JUNIOR! Oh my goodness. She's got a BUSY schedule. She has 4 AP classes, VP of her Jr. Class, Soccer and Lacrosse and FLIRTING. Okay, she's not a flirt but she sure has a lot of fun! :)

I LOVE the shoes!!!

Here's all three together (Derrick's 2nd day)....notice my "yo dude" boy again.

Okay, this next picture is a bit scary. I did try to prove that you never outgrow the "don't take my picture" by not getting my picture taken. So, Bob caught me in the garage as I was getting in the car. I guess I must rejoice in my double chin :)

Here's my FUN classroom. The first day was AMAZING!!! I have 18 students in 1st hour and they are incredible. They have great insights and have so many wonderful experiences. WOW!!! This is really a great class. It's too bad I didn't get a picture of THEM in the seats....right??? I just got so involved once they came....I forgot the picture!!

We love this family! Is that Nathan's 'too cool' look or just his 'half awake' look. Gotta love it! I know it was so very important to take some time for yourself last year and work through the transitions of your growing family, but we sure love having you back. Have a great Friday! J
What are you teaching this year in seminary?

It's so awesome you teach seminary!!! What a cute classroom. And tell Nate to knock a smile (one day he will look back and regret he didn't). So cute!!!

The family looks cute! Give me a call sometime when you have time to explain how this blogging page works. Because I am not sure I understand it.

Good luck for the new school year! By the way, Sam saw those pictures of Nathan and said, "Hey! That's my babysitter-friend! He's got a computer page, too?"
