Bob's got competition

Watch out Bob....Here comes AMANDA!!

We have another Intel-ite in the family.  For all the HOURS of helping this little girl with her math, english, social studies, and leadership projects....not to mention the hours of lecturing her and hounding her....this makes it all worth it!!  This week Amanda got this letter:

"Hello Amanda,

Congratulations and welcome to Intel!  Your first day at Intel will be Monday, April 30th, 2012.  You will report to New Hire Orientation where you will spend 2 hours completing your new hire paperwork, and getting your badge made.  You should contact your hiring manager for instructions on where to meet after the orientation.  We look forward to having you join Intel!"

And to make things even more fun....Intel is giving her a relocation package!!  Yep...she is getting PAID for her to come home for the summer!!  When Bob and I looked at her relocation package...Bob said, "That is better than the one I got!" and he started full time with his MBA behind him.  Ha!!!

I always told Amanda that my goal as a Mom is to make sure she improves upon MY best....in other words...be better than me!  She thought I was crazy, but really, isn't that what we want for our kids?  Well, I guess I need to pat myself on my back because she has far exceeding me in spiritual strength, education, scholarship, leadership, social skills and now employment.  She has worked harder than anyone I know and has faced affliction and disappointment head on....she definitely deserves this great blessing.  

I have never been happier than when I see my children succeed.
