Bad, Bad Business Decision

Do you ever need a 10 gallon garbage can in your bathroom???.....NO!!! And yet, that's exactly what we have in ours! Two days ago I went to Linens and Things going out of business sale. I've needed a new garbage can for my kitchen...so...I saw these garbage cans that were normally $100.00 on sale for $50.00....so, I got it! I LOVE the easy open step.....a MUST when you have slimy hands from cutting chicken!! Well, I got it home and took it out of the box only to discover that it is a PIECE OF JUNK!!! It catches on the corner and won't open unless you jump on the pedal! Of course because they're going out of business there is a "no return" policy....I tried my hardest to exchange it but no go...they just looked at me and kept saying, "We're sorry, you should have checked it before you bought it. Blug,Blug,Blug,Blug,Blug!! Well, I decided to put it in my bathroom and told Bob to start blowing his nose and cleaning his ears more....he has 10 gallons to fill!!

Hey....maybe I can see if the government can bail me out of my bad business decision...you think??

Okay...you have NO idea how funny this post is to me!!! So, I recently purchased a similar trash can for our kitchen (is yours "SimlpeHuman" brand?). It's a LONG story, but basically it came down to this...buying an aesthetically pleasing can to have out in our kitchen (and spending $80 bucks on it!) OR going against all order (putting food and garbage in the same space) and putting a basic garbage can in the pantry. Anyways...I bought the can...only to look at it for four days with "buyers remorse." I just couldn't justify $80 on a trash can!! I just couldn't do it!! Although, my can worked perfectly, it was returned yesterday! So now we have a $5 can in our pantry...we'll see how it goes....

That is so funny! Sorry to laugh at your expense but I'm laughing WITH you! I was just in that same store last week and looked at those exact garbage cans! ~LOL~ I think it looks and fits nicely inbetween your tub and sink! Whatever happened to your cool garbage can that opened automatically when it sensed movement? That one was cool! (My kids sure thought so too!)

I am laughing at you finding out you have to "jump" on the pedal. Sorry about this. It does look nice in the bathroom, at least you don't have to empty it very often...which I'm not sure is the best thing for bathroom stuff...ummm.

I think I am laughing more at your ending comment on the government bailing you out on your bad business decision! Maybe Bush will sign that tomorrow as well! CRAZY!! haha!!

Thanks for the post! I have wanted one of those for so long - but they are so dang expensive! I appreciate the feedback on it! Now, I don't want one!

You brought tears to my eyes. I guess that is why they are going out of business. Too funny!
I think I am leaving Friday morning.
