THANK YOU!!

WOW!! I am sooo overwhelmingly grateful for all the comments on the blog, the emails, and the phone calls that we have received since our post that we are approved to adopt. There are no words to explain how much they have meant to us. At one of the classes we went to people started sharing all the negative responses they've received from others about adopting. I was kind of surprised...so, after hearing those comments I became very nervous and worked myself up a plan on how to handle things......well, with each encouraging and excited comment, I felt a huge burden lifted. I cried after I read or heard all your positive things. You mean so much to us. I love you all!! Thank you, thank you thank you!!!!!

We will definitely keep everyone up-dated. Right now we submitted our home study to 7 different children and sibling groups. The individual case workers will review all the submitted home studies and then decide on 3 families that are a good match and then our home study will go to "committee". They will then decide which family (out of the 3 submitted) would be the best match for the children. If we get the nod....we'll get a phone call and then our lives will come to a screeching hault as we'll only have about a week before we go and pick them up. I hope we get a match soon!!! I am NOT good at waiting :)

JULIE!!!! Let me apologize for being late to leave my supportive comment on your blog. I am totally tickled for you. My reason for no comment is that I have been out of the country. But I am thrilled for your unselfish decision, and inspired by your choice to adopt the way you feel the Lord wants you to. You are a great example. I will keep you guys in my prayers. Way to go!!!!! I am excited as heck for you.

I am so glad to hear you have so much positive support. I mentioned to Jeff the other day,"Do you ever feel like the glass is half empty with some people before you even start to talk?" I am glad your surounded by people with full glasses. If you hit a stressful momment along the way at least you have the peace of mind that all four of you know adoption is suppose to happen in your family. Hang in there, patience is not my virtue either.

Of course everyone is encouraging and positive...we all love you! It makes me so happy to hear that our life reminds you of yours. If my kids turn out as wonderful as Amanda and Nathan...I will be one happy mom. You have a great family.

I forgot to tell you...on Saturday night when we looked at your blog to see your news...Rick had to watch the SNL with Will Ferrel..(he loves Will Ferrel) Got to say it was hilarious. I then proceeded to tell him the story behind it! Thank you Amanda and Julie for a good laugh!

It is so cool to feel the Lord working in your life and isn't just so true that we sometimes need years of preparation for stuff!
We love you guys so very much!!

If you want to see a really cute baby that was born and just adopted go to my sight cliick on Amy and Nate (Jeff's sister) then click on Jason and Shanna on her list. My inlaws live in the same ward as Jeff's sister so the whole family has been following this families quest for adopting. It has been a roller coaster and that peace on the inside seeing a baby in their arms is wonderful. They didn't have any children at all before this baby. Anyway since your in a new adventure of your own I was thinking you might have fun reading and seeing their adventure. I dont know them I just got caught up hearing my mother inlaw having me check online when she didn't have computer access.
