The potential dread of comments

I totally love getting comments from everyone! I love them so much I think my self esteem might be tied to it - ha! Today I logged on and was sooooo excited to see the number increased!! Then I started reading all the fun things.....until I got to my dearest friend and person that I absolutely love and admire...Nicole's....there was dread and a sinking feeling that went all the way to my toes......how could this be???....Nicole simply wrote, " You are tagged".
Now, I've managed to avoid these things so far because usually I'll just read my name at the bottom on someone's blog and think....oh, it must be some other Julie....or some other sister-in-law....but, what excuse do I have when someone actually puts it on my blog? I don't know why this things petrify me. I love reading them on other's blog! So, I will take a step into the unknown and I shall honor my friends tag. (Nicole....if you read this....you better bring me over some of your delicious cookies or brownies!!!!! lol)

8 Things I Did Yesterday
1. Sat in the pouring and wind driven rain for 1 1/2 hours watching a soccer (or should I say mud) game. Even though I had a huge umbrella, I still came back DRENCHED!
2. Gave my opinion on where a shelf should be hung in the boy's room then proceded to get on Bob's nerves by telling him "no, maybe not....why don't you do it this way......."
3. Went to a restaurant that I hated for an end of the year soccer season party.
4. Joined with my daughter in convincing the boys (includes Bob) into not eating at the restaurant I hated for the year end soccer season and going to Olive Garden instead....after the awards were handed out....we succeeded! We just sat at our table sipping water and smiling....then ran accross the street and pigged out on breadsticks....oh so happy!
5. Went grocery shopping with Bob and once again proved my case to him that I'm not sabotaging the budget with frivolous things..."needs" are expensive!
6. Got our family picture proofs from the photographer and became depressed.
7. Mapped out my diet and exercise plans so I can re-take the family pictures in a few months.
8. Started watching the movie "The Hulk" with my hubby at 10:00pm....late night of seeing a green, angry beast. Joked that maybe we should try some of his anger management skills...hmmmmm.

I love comments too!!! So of course I will leave one.

Just so you know, you are absolutely darling and perfect just the way you are. Forget all that excercise diet stuff and just be healthy and grateful for your sweet self.

Everyone hates themselves in family photos!!!!!

Yea Julie! Thanks for playing! I love reading through the answers and finding out even more interesting tidbits about you. How about some of those Rolo cookies? Would that be an acceptable peace offering? You are a good sport and a great friend. :)

Julie- I love how once you actually succumb to doing a tag because the comment was left on your blog, you make sure that those of us whom you tagged couldn't possibly play your game at figuring it was someone else you tagged because you left comments on our blogs! Hmmm... 8 things for each category... I'll have to start thinking (and maybe making some stuff up)!I agree with you... it is really fun to read other's tags, and I really did love reading yours! Thanks for stepping out of your comfort zone and sharing with us. I think you're great!

Julie...I couldn't agree with you more....I LOVE reading other people's responses to tags. But doing it myself...well, that requires a lot of thinking (something I'm not that great at!) I had fun thinking of things though. It's cool to see how alike you are to others...what you both like...what someone else likes that you never knew about them...all that stuff.

Thanks for the tag!

You are so awesome. I always love reading your blog because you inspire me or make me laugh or both. We are so going to miss you. When I pulled up your blog tonight, Alan said, "That's my Julie!" Too cute. I love the new photo, too. Did you get muddy or was it taken before the torrential rains started?

I love the new family picture. I hope it grows on you. Part of enjoying the journey is enjoying where you are now, and it looks like your family is in a great place. We love you. Can you give us some more details on the upcoming baptism???

I absolutely LOVE your new family picture! Who took the pic for you? I think we are long overdue for a new pic--I've got to find somebody good. It will not be an easy task to get all my family looking at the photographer at the same time! I also love learning about you through your tag. I am so inspired by you and am so glad I've been able to get to know you better, living here in OR! You are an amazing lady Julie! I love you!

What a great picture. What about Toby? I think he will look forward to the re-takes as well.

You are ridiculous. You don't need retakes! I always laugh at your witty comments. I can totally see you with the shelf...at the yucky restaurant...making sure Bob sees the total amount at the check out. Love you.

We are so excited for Derek. Maybe Jamie will give me a "generous" gift and fly me there. Are you listening Jamie?

I love your new family picture! I am so excited to come to Derrick's baptism. I love getting updates on how things are going and I just love that everything is working our great! He seriously is an amazing kid! I loved reading your tag as well, especially the one about the budget. Daniel and I have that discussion quite often. He just doesn't understand that groceries actually cost money:)

Oooh, I LOVE your picture too! With our slow connection, your header picture takes a long time to come up, so I don't know how long it's been there. I noticed everyone's comments, so I waited for it to load... very cute! I love the shirt colors too!

Okay... it only took me a week, but my tag is officially posted! Thanks!

Oh, and THANK YOU for sharing the soup recipe. I rushed out to get the ingredients and it was a hit! We even had my sisters over and everyone loved it! When Steven has seconds of a new recipe I've tried, I know it's a keeper! I've tried plenty where the recipe hits the trash after I've made it! (Not just because of him, but because everyone is kind of picking at it and pushing it around their plates to make it look like they've eaten it when they haven't!) Luckily I don't make too many like that!
